DIXIELAND LABRADORS

Dogs are the only things on earth that love you just the way you are..

Testimonials / Past Puppies

It is with great pride that we share our Testimonials Page.  We put so much hard work in the end it is worth it when we hear such kind words from their new owners.  These are not just people that bought Labs from us, they are our friends.... because we share a family.  We are so pleased that the wonderful people below chose to finish what we started.

"Holly took her to the vet this morning. They all bragged about how gorgeous she was. They said she was the best looking lab they have seen in a looong time! That says a lot because this was a pretty big/popular vet! :) Holly said everyone in the whole place kept coming in to see "the perfect puppy everyone was talking about"!  Thanks for everything!"  Josh

"Here are some pics of Emma.  She is now 21.5 lbs and doing great.  She is pretty much house trained and sits upon command.  She has become a special part of our family.  Take care."  Boyd

Hi Ron. I just thought I'd drop a line and say hi. Hope everything is going well over ya'lls way. We still check your website & looks like ya'll have some changes! Hope everything turns out great.

Shiloh is doing great. She's very well behaved, smart as a whip, and growing like a weed. She can do just about anything we teach her, besides cook supper. :)

Have a good one!

He is a great dog.  He has been playing fetch for a long time now. He also just walks with us and doesn't even try to run away. He's very happy to hang out in the back yard with us. We really enjoy his company.

Hope you are going well.  We'll keep you updated on Beau's progress.

Dear Ron,
Bo is doing just fine......He seems to be training us very well!?!?!!  Rich was initially concerned when we picked him out that he was too quite and docile.  Well.....this weekend he found his "inner-puppy".  We now know that he doesn't like being in his kennel, unless he's tired, peeing is an open option anywhere......and Bo the Piranha Puppy is pleased at all the choices at his disposal - including rugs, chairs and stairs - not to mention our arms and hands!  That aside he is such a joy!  You can see his little mind working - he does try to please us.  We are just having a ball with him.
I take him daily to see my mom at an assisted living facility and all the people there just love him.  He's just a hoot in the car.
As soon as I can figure out how to send pictures to you I will.  We are so happy to have him with us.

More updates to follow.....

Thanks so much for Bo

Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that Maggie is adapting very well to our home.  Here are some pictures that I promised that I would send you.  She had a really great night last night.  Woke up about three times and after going outside to use the bathroom she went right back to sleep.  She is such a smart girl.

"This Christmas I received the best present of all...a lab puppy from Dixieland Labradors.  Even though I had to wait a few weeks before picking her up, Dixielandlabradors always kept us up to date on everything the puppies were doing.  Each week I would get new photos of the puppies so we could watch them grow and always ready to answer my many questions I had about preparing for our new family member. Now that our puppy is home with us we couldn't be happier.  She has truly become a part of our family."

Puppy love from NC,

Dear Ron,
Just wanted to update you on Bo (Brown Boy). He is doing great and adjusting very well.
Rock and the girls sure surprised me this Christmas...I had no idea that they were looking for me a new Lab. This past summer I lost our female choc. Lab to breast cancer... and within a month, lightning got my male blonde Lab....it was heartbreaking.... because there is something about these Labradors, that steals your  heart. They are so gentle and loving, and now I can say that our family is complete again.
Dixielandlabradors is by far outstanding as far as breeders are concerned. Ron will keep you informed and will answer any questions concerning their dogs.  I received a gift bag at Christmas that had a pic of a lab in it, and when I opened it, and seen what was inside, I weeped like a baby...LOL  You updated the site weekly with pics of all the pups, and if that wasn't enough, you would throw in a video from time to time...that was AWESOME...it was like my baby was already at home.  My family done outstanding finding your web-site and I couldn't have asked for a better dog !!  He is so loving and gentle, and loves to play !!   I do believe that he has almost doubled in size since we got him last week, that is how fast he is growing...He loves to eat !!
I didn't mean to write a book, but when we get ready for a female I will surely be giving you guys another call.  Here are a few pics of Bo-Jangels that I promised and I will update you on his progress.

Thanks for everything !!

Hey,
Tucker is wonderful!!! Laying here asleep at my feet while I'm reading my emails. We've been a little busy around here, potty training, playing, playing, playing and keeping this little horse fed, we thought we were getting a puppy (not a horse).  He is getting such a personality!! Hannah seems to think he's going to be very smart. He went to the front door and barked Friday right after he ate! Pictures to follow, promise!!!

Thanks again

Hey,
I can't thank you enough for Tucker, I've already realized he's a very smart puppy. There's been two times when he has went to the door and barked for me to take him out. =) Im such a proud mommy! When I say mommy it is sort of funny, but I really feel that way about him. The funniest part is, the other day mom even called herself Grandma to him!! I think he's settled in, if you can't tell from the pictures.  I hope this e-mail finds you and your family doing well and I hope you all enjoy the pictures =)

Ali is doing well, she is finally started to settle down.  I didn't get much sleep the first few nights, but the past 2 days she has been doing well.  She is sleeping the whole night and has been doing well with the poddy training.  She still has an appetite... and she loves to chew on anything she can get her mouth on.

Thanks for your help last weekend and it was nice to finally you.  I'll update you with some pictures as she gets older.

Hi my name is Ali...  My dad's name is Ryan Strickland.  He is real smart...He is a Civil Engineer...He picked me up one cold morning in Tennesee and took me to my new home in Savannah, Ga.

When I arrived I was greeted by my grandmother, grandad, Ryan's Brother Brett (who likes to babysit me) (my new cousin Cain who is a black Lab...He's old, wise and pretty cool), my great grandmother (my new cousin Sebastain who is a Shitzu).

My great grandmother really loves me a lot...She also sneaks me treats and takes me for walks while my dad is at work. She has also bought me some neat toys...On Saturday's and Sunday's I like to go riding with my dad. He takes me to neat places with his friend, Seth, and his dog Boga...We go to PetSmart....My dad loves to take me to Forsyth Park in Savannah....He takes me running and to meet girls.  I love my dad and new family. I'm a Georgia Girl now.

Hey there, Sweetie is doing great!  I was worried the first day cause she wasn't wanting to eat, but now she is eating up a storm and running and playing all over the house.  She is a bugger and already earned her a place at the foot of Makayla's bed instead of the crate at night. LOL She is quickly becoming a HUGE part of the family, we take her everywhere we go.  Even Mamaw and papaw love her.  I will put a testimonial up for you for sure.  It has been a great experience.  I'm so glad we found you guys!  Talk to you soon.

Our experience with Dixielandlabradors has been just WONDERFUL from day one.  They are such kind people and very easy to work with.  Our little sweetie has been such a joy and has quickly become part of our family.  She is a BEAUTIFUL puppy and we are shocked at how smart she is already.  We would recommend all we know interested in looking for a lab to deal with Dixieland.  Their prices are more than fair and the service and one on one you get with them is awesome.  We drove over an hour and a half to get our puppy and would gladly do it again.

"The Carter Family"

We picked up our beautiful new lab puppy last night.  He is sir seaside hunter of dixieland.... He and willie are great... thanks to Dixieland Labradors Kennel's !!!!

We had a nice walk on the beach today. Virginia is so happy with hunter. She wants to do it all for him.

I feel strong about promoting good American businesses.  I like to stay local but does not always work out that way. I also feel things happen for a reason. I found you thru AKC and it just happen to work out.  It has been a great experience with you.  I will talk you up to everyone I know.   I'm all about supporting small business people.  It is what makes our country so great...
Thanks again..

Tjark

Hello,

Sophie Belle is such a blessing! She did not have one accident the entire ride home (12 hours) we were shocked! We stopped every couple hours and she did her business and we couldn't believe how smart she is! She is already getting to know her name and comes when we call her! She is nestling into her new home and she sleeps right beside me! :)  Whenever we go outside all the neighbors come over and want to play & hold her. We took Sophie to the vet and she already weighs 8 pounds!! We are excited to continue to watch her grow and give you updates! Thank you for giving us such a beautiful puppy!!

Sincerely,

Aubrey Dahl

Hi:

Charlotte has been renamed Bonnie Blue. She’s Bonnie  or Bonnie Blue with all of us but with my son who wants to hunt with her she’s Blue. But on top of that, she’s the most amazing puppy in the world and probably the most loved. She’s just a hoot. Right away she established herself and fit in with the other dogs .  She had no hesitation, just wanted to play. Her first night was rough, she cried until almost 2 am and then I went and slept with her on the sofa. The next day was an adjusting day when she got to know her inside environs as well as the beagles.. That night I put her in the bathroom with a radio and that was a disaster. Sunday we started some crate work and outside time and she adjusted like a pro. She would spend about 20 minutes in the crate sleeping and then go do her business outside in her designated spot and then play her heart out. She amazes me in that she walks with us right by our sides with no leash and stops on a dime when we do. I know she’s in wide open spaces and once adjusted she will challenge those but we’re off to a great start. She also responds to her name and since we established her pee spot outside she’s had no accidents. But the funny part is that she has gotten very close to the male beagle that we rescued from the pound 3 months ago. We were worried that he would get jealous but he has become her mother. So last night we put their 2 crates side by side (he’s still in one because when we aren’t looking he tries to mark the entire house ) and she slept the entire night without a whimper. Tina, she’s a jewel. I’m glad I was already “lab broken” because she’s a pistol, but one I just adore. Thank you so much for her and we will keep you posted.

Jane

Well,

These pictures pretty much sum up Bolton's first evening with the Moore family. We've worn him out! :-)  He has a great disposition and has adapted quite well to our chaotic household. He certainly has spunk (at least when he's awake). He's not timid, very playful, and a bundle of fun (again, when he's awake). We're just hoping he's got some sleep left in him so we'll get some tonight.

Thanks again for all of your help. We'll be sure to send more pics as he grows.

Jeff

Hi,

Titan is wonderful, such a perfect addition to our family. He rode in the car very well on the trip home (11 hours total, no accidents!), We stopped for the night somewhere along the way and he was awesome....he woke me up at midnight by licking, then biting on my nose to let us know that he needed to go potty. He went right back to bed and we went through the exact same thing at 6am (which his internal alarm is set for, by the way) .......that time I picked him up to take him out....then put him down to get the room key and he figured he was where I wanted him so he FLOODED the bed.....oops!!! Guess that's why we paid a pet fee at the hotel huh??

Anyway, we made it home....introduced him to our 4 kids and it's been non-stop ever since! He's starting to learn his name, doing fairly well with potty training and loves to try to drag his food/water dishes all over the house....whether or NOT there's food/water IN them!!! He already owns more toys than should be allowed for one puppy and is the center of attention!! We will send an update soon!!!

Thank You!

Kim & Randy

Hi, just wanted to say thanks so much, little Rigby is adorable with a fantastic little personality. He was a little bit freaked out for a while last night, missing all of you, his siblings and Mally. I cuddled him for a while, then we went to get a drink of water, and he flopped down by his water bowl and fell hard asleep for a few hours!  He likes to sleep curled up by his food and water bowls, it's very cute. He has gone potty outside three times already and he is playing and cuddly today. He likes to chew on my slippers!  I am so happy with him and already in love, and I know John will be too, when he gets home on Tuesday night.
I will send pictures when John gets home.

Thanks again and have a great week,
